4. Target Audience of Study

It is important for corporate managers to be aware of the cultural realities of a differing country, so they will be able to make the most informed decision, especially when faced with Hobson's choice ie, to accommodate the traditional views of the local people at the local country which may lower the efficiency and productivity of the organisation or make the decision to go with what is most efficient to the dislikes of the local people which may in the end may result in organisation inefficiency. As indicated by the directory listing of the Swedish Trade Council, it is these organisations that this project would like to study and for which the study is useful.

Due to constraining factors such as time and financial resources of the study, not all listed organisations will be targeted for study. Agreeably, not all organisations listed will want to participate in this study. Nonetheless this project directly involves each and every one of those organisations.

There are five potential groups who might be interested in this study:

  1. Organisations in Sweden who wish to expand their businesses to Asia and seek a greater understanding of conducting business relations in an intercultural environment
  2. Organisations already in Asia who seek to have a better understanding of doing business in an intercultural environment
  3. Consulting Companies or Organisations in business market research or who work with communication
  4. Entrepreneurs and business persons who are interested in Asia
  5. Academics in the relevant fields within the scope of this study

Overall, this project will provide useful market research and information for Swedish companies who would like to take on Asia's expanding economic capabilities.
